This year I'm lucky enough to have an incredibly long summer holiday as we get to leave school after our exams, leaving us with nearly double our usual length of time. So I'm planning my holiday which includes a going away with my mum to either Paris or Amsterdam! But we can't decide. They are both beautiful cities (or so I've heard). I've been to Paris many times and fall in love with it all over again each and every time, but I've never been to Amsterdam.
Paris would mean the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the George Pompidou centre and crepes, and Amsterdam would mean the Degas museum, Anne Frank's house, cycling and pancakes!
Have you been to one or both? Which would you recommend?
I'd love to know!

You are so lucky to have been to Paris, I have never been but I'm longing to go. Amsterdam would be amazing as well, but personally I would prefer to go to Paris as I have been dreaming of going there for a very long time, but maybe you should go someplace different and see Amsterdam? I'm sure either would be fabulous, you are so lucky.

Both cities are great, Paris is better but you were already there. So you should opt for Amsterdam, no doubt about it.

I have only been to Paris. To me it's the most beautiful city in the world. I love the old buildings :) But if you have been to Paris already I would visit Amsterdam :)

I've been to both! I really think it's up to you - if you want to fall in love again with Paris, go! If it were up to me to go to one again I would choose Paris because I do love the vibe that the city gives and French food :) Amsterdam has wonderful history and sights to see as well though <3 love your blog!

Both Paris and Amsterdam are beautiful, but as far as I know (I'm Dutch) there is no Degas museum in Amsterdam. Maybe you meant the Van Gogh Museum? This museum is great BTW.

ReplyDeleteA tough choice... I would automatically say Paris, but if you've never been to Amsterdam it is an amazing city too! If you are going in Spring Amsterdam will be super gorge with all the Tulips... However, Paris is by far my fave out of the two! Anne xoxo
